Men's Tennis Shutout Rutgers-Newark (9-0)

The men's tennis team blanked the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers-Newark, 9-0, in a non-conference match on Thursday afternoon at the Alley Pond Tennis Center.

The Bearcats won all three doubles and six singles to record their second straight win.

Michael Dozortsev, who on Monday was named the CUNYAC Player of the Week, had another two win performance by winning at fourth singles (6-0, 6-1) and teamed with Clement Lacoudre to win at third doubles, 8-0.

Abhinav Srivastava, Leonard Margolis, and Alberto Beyebach also had singles and doubles wins.

Jeremy Berman and David Luo were also in the win column in the singles.

In addition to Dozortsev's CUNYAC honor, Maxwell Sternberg was named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week on Monday.

The Bearcats will now enjoy a brief break and will next begin their CUNYAC schedule on Thursday, April 4 against John Jay College.
