Shaiem Allah Morad has been named the Baruch Male Athlete of the Year for 2019-20.
Shaiem, a four-year player and finance major, played midfielder and won 28 team matches in his career, which included the 2018 CUNYAC Championship and playing in the NCAA Tournament.
He totaled 20 goals and five assists in 55 overall matches in a Bearcat uniform.
He was voted as the 2019 CUNYAC Preseason Player of the Year in a poll by the league coaches. During 2018, he was also voted as a CUNYAC First Team All-Star.
"I am honored to have received this award. I want to thank my teammates and coaches for a wonderful experience," said Shaiem. "Being part of the Baruch Soccer team has been an influential part of my life. It has helped me develop as an athlete and as a person. I am excited for anyone who gets the opportunity to represent Baruch. It's been a pleasure. Up the Bearcats!"
