Men's Basketball Head Coach John Alesi has announced the team's individual awards.

Junior Adnan Bajrami was named the MVP, while senior George Smyth, Jr. earned the Coaches Award.

Bajrami averaged 15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists in 30 games, while shooting nearly 40 percent from 3-point range for the Bearcats who played in their sixth straight post-season. He was honored at almost every level with CUNYAC (1st Team), the National Association of Basketball Coaches (2nd Team), the Met Basketball Writers Association (2nd Team), and D3Hoops.com Atlantic Region (3rd Team) all-star honors. The Finance major also won CUNYAC Player of the Week honors on January 13.

Team captain George Smyth, Jr. was a four-year player who averaged 6.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in 30 games. He earned CUNYAC All-Tournament honors after grabbing 20 rebounds in the championship against Brooklyn College. The Finance major finished his productive career having played in the post-season in each of his four seasons (3 ECAC, 1 NCAA) in a Bearcat uniform.
