Cormac Foley Scores Five Goals! Bearcats Defeat CCNY in High-Scoring Match

The men's soccer team defeated the Beavers of CCNY, 6-4, in an exciting CUNYAC contest on Wednesday night at Randall's Island Field #70.

Senior Cormac Foley had a night to remember scoring five goals as the Bearcats raised their record to 4-1 in CUNYAC with two matches remaining on the conference schedule.

Foley scored four of his five goals in the first half as the Bearcats owned a comfortable 5-0 lead at the break.

However, the visiting Beavers did not go away quietly scoring two quick goals within the first 15 minutes of the second half to revive their comeback hopes to get as close as 5-2.

Foley scored his fifth of the night in the 69th minute to increase the advantage to 6-2 and that helped put the match out of reach.

The Beavers added two more goals late but time ran out to enable the Bearcats to record the important home win.

Jaedon Seneca was also on the score sheet tonight scoring his goal in the 42nd minute.

The Bearcats will resume action on Saturday with a 12:00 p.m. CUNYAC home contest against Lehman College at Randall's Island Field #10.

Prior to the match, the team will honor final year players Cormac Foley, Luis Munoz, Nazim Louadah, Uthman Aboulwafa, Kellen Sela, and Walter Hernandez.
