Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Clinch #2 Seed in CUNYAC Championship, Defeat York 4-0

The men's soccer team concluded their regular season schedule with a 4-0 shutout of the Cardinals of York College on Saturday afternoon.

The visiting Bearcats out-shot the Cardinals, 34-5, en route to evening their season record at 6-6 and improving to 5-2 in the CUNYAC standings. The 34 shots were a season-high.

Wessam Farag opened the scoring early in the 7th minute off an assist from Jaedon Seneca.

Jemali Zarnadze then notched a hat-trick with a goal right before the end of first half, as well as goals in the 67th and 71st minutes. 

Farag also assisted on Zarnadze's third goal. Ansen Novak assisted on Zarnadze's first goal.

Kellen Sela and Walter Hernandez combined for the shutout.

The Bearcats as a result of finishing in second place in CUNYAC earn a quarterfinal round bye. They will host the winner of the 3rd place vs 6th place quarterfinal winner on Saturday, October 30. Details TBA.
