Men's Volleyball Falls in Three to St. Joseph's (LI)

The men's volleyball team lost a hard-fought non-conference match to St. Joseph's College of Patchogue on Thursday evening on Long Island.

The host Golden Eagles won with scores of 25-21, 26-24, 25-19 hitting .274 (38 kills) compared to the visiting Bearcats with .127 (26 kills).     

Akil Vaughn led the Bearcats with six kills (.500) to go along with two aces.

Jack Centeno, the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, and Michael Higgins each had five kills in the tough road loss.

Stallone Shankar, the CUNYAC Player of the Week, dished out 16 assists. Travis Goding totaled six digs.

Mark Jensen led the hosts with 11 kills.
