Women's Basketball Wins Big in Massachusetts

The women's basketball team scored the first 11 points and never looked back en route to a 68-42 road victory at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Friday night.

Mia Castillo led the visiting Bearcats this evening with 21 points shooting 9-of-18 to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Elissa Leung tied a career-high with 17 points, while Paige Traynor had 12 points in the victory in North Adams, Massachusetts.

D'Andre McRae recorded double-figure rebounds again, this time with 10. Allison Altamirano (eight rebounds) and Angela Bacarella (six rebounds) also contributed to the win.

M.C.L.A shot only 21.8% (12-for-55) and were out-rebounded 58-27. Zaylee Ramos led their squad with 13 points.

The Bearcats will up stay up north traveling on Saturday to play at SUNY Cobleskill with tip set for 3:30 p.m.
