Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Day 1: Men's Volleyball Competes at Arcadia Knights Invitational

The men's volleyball team is competing this weekend at the Knights Invitational hosted by Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania.

The Bearcats started play on Saturday with a heart-breaking five-set loss to Alvernia University with scores of 30-28, 11-25, 25-22, 16-25, 9-15.

Jack Centeno (three aces) was tops for the Bearcats in the neutral site match with 15 kills, while Haoxin Hu (.320) had 10 kills and Defeng Han six.

Stallone Shankar dished out a season high 27 assists, six digs and added two aces in the tough opening loss.

In the second match, the Bearcats lost in four sets 14-25, 25-19, 16-25, 21-25 to Eastern Mennonite University.

Centeno (nine digs) and Hu led the attack again with seven kills each. 

Stallone had 16 assists and Akil Vaughn contributed three blocks in the late afternoon match.

The Bearcats will resume action against California Lutheran (12:00 p.m.) and the host Arcadia (2:00 p.m.) tomorrow.
