Bearcats Sweep John Jay in CUNYAC Action

The men's volleyball team defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay 25-18, 25-17, 25-16 in a CUNYAC match played on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats started the first set strong hitting .440 to help them to their fourth straight win and improve to 3-0 in the CUNYAC standings.

The two teams played a very competitive first set tied at 17-17, but the Bearcats tallied eight of the last nine kills for the 25-18 win. 

HIGHLIGHTS 
*Jack Centeno led the Bearcats attack again with 13 kills hitting a solid .435.
*Michael Higgins had seven kills hitting a hot .778 with five blocks.
*Stallone Shankar dished out 29 assists.
*Andrew Ubanwa recorded six kills and three blocks.
*Wen Cheung led all Bearcats with seven digs.
*Akashdeep Singh led the visitors with 15 kills.
*The Bearcats will next battle rival Hunter at home on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
