Men's Basketball Falls in the Bronx

The men's basketball team lost a tough road contest 69-56 at Lehman College on Wednesday night. 

The two teams played a competitive first half with Lehman leading at the break (28-26), but shooting made all the difference in the second half, particularly in the final five minutes.

The visiting Bearcats struggled in the second half shooting only 30 percent (11-for-37) compared to the hot shooting by Lehman at 62 percent (13-for-21). 

Despite the differences in shooting, the game was still tied at 50-50 with just 5:33 left until Lehman went on a game-busting 11-2 run over the next two minutes to lead 61-52.

The Bearcats could not recover and suffered the CUNYAC loss.

Jehmehl Fair was tops with 15 points and six rebounds. Michael Gannon had 11 points and Emil Purisic grabbed 14 rebounds.

Isiah Geathers led the home team with 27 points and 14 rebounds.
