The women's tennis team remained unbeaten in CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play after a 7-0 home victory over John Jay College on Monday afternoon at the indoor courts of the Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.
The Bearcats started strong, sweeping all six singles matches before also winning all three doubles contests to secure the perfect 7-0 result in the seven-point format. With the win, Baruch improves to 5-4 overall and 4-0 in CUNYAC play.
Aishika Yadav continued her impressive run with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, while team captain Jacqueline Moreno matched the scoreline with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles. In doubles, the pairing of Margaret Kensinger and Malika Khaknazarova earned a 6-0 triumph at third doubles to complete the sweep.
The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday for another key CUNYAC matchup at Brooklyn College.
