The men's soccer team earned a convincing 4-0 shutout victory over Medgar Evers College on Wednesday night in a CUNYAC matchup at SUNY Purchase.
The Bearcats dominated from start to finish, outshooting the Cougars 24-7 while registering their third consecutive match with at least 20 shots.
Baruch built a 2-0 halftime lead behind goals from Ailey Dawson in the 18th minute (17:43) and team captain Mitchel Frenkel in the 29th minute (28:21). Dawson struck again in the 72nd minute (71:38) to complete his brace, and Kenneth Perry capped the scoring with his first goal of the season in the 80th minute (79:29).
Rookie goalkeeper Dzmitry Piatrashka secured his third clean sheet of the season with three saves as the Bearcats continued their strong defensive form with two straight shutouts .
The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday with a 12:00 p.m. home contest against Lehman College at Flowers Park in New Rochelle, NY.
