The men's soccer team earned its third straight CUNYAC win, defeating Lehman College 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Flowers Park in New Rochelle, New York.
The Bearcats struck early, as Rayan Vukovic netted the lone goal of the match in the 7th minute (6:51), a strike that ultimately stood as the game-winner.
Lehman controlled much of the possession and applied heavy pressure in the final 20 minutes, but rookie goalkeeper Dzmitry Piatrashka was outstanding once again, making nine saves to record the team's third consecutive shutout.
Vukovic led the Bearcats with three shots, while the visiting Lightning held a 24-6 edge in total attempts. Despite being outshot, Baruch's defensive organization and Piatrashka's heroics secured another valuable conference victory.
The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday for a key CUNYAC showdown against rival Hunter College, a matchup with major playoff implications in the race for second place.
