Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Women's Basketball Stays on Winning Track Recording Their 10th CUNYAC Win, Defeat York

The women's basketball team defeated the Cardinals of York College, 80-46, in a CUNYAC contest on Friday evening in Jamaica, New York.

The visiting Bearcats jumped out to a 21-7 lead after the first quarter and shot 65 percent (11-17 FG) in the second quarter, en route to a 48-19 halftime advantage.

They never let up in the second half to notch their 10th win in their last eleven games.

Ten different players scored with 34 total baskets coming off of 29 assists.

Mia Castillo narrowly missed a double-double with 23 points, nine assists, and five steals.

D'Andre McRae scored 14 points (7-10 fg) and Lillianna Morales scored a career-high 12 points in the road win.

Elissa Leung (9 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds) also had a good night.

Alicia Gumbs was tops for the home Cardinals with 23 points.
