Men's Race Results
The men's and women's cross country teams traveled north to Poughkeepsie on Saturday to compete at Vassar College's Ron Stonitsch Invitational, with the men finishing eighth in the 6K 10:00 a.m. race and the women placing seventh in the 10:45 a.m. 5K race.
Jose Perez once again led the Bearcats on the men's side, placing 35th in the team scoring (67th overall) with a time of 21:29.3. August Guerra was the team's second finisher, crossing the line in 47th place (89th overall) with a time of 24:05.2.
August Guerra, Adarsha Kc, Douglas Trosten, Luca Shapiro, John Vargas, Mahi Uddin, and Brandon Lim all recorded personal best times.
In the women's 5K race, Paz Moran paced the Bearcats with a strong 27th-place team finish (35th overall) in a time of 20:54.1, followed by teammate Cielo Flores Diaz in 49th place (79th overall) at 25:40.4.
Cielo Flores Diaz, Emily Stevanus, Nicole Pelaez, Hao Weng, Grace Deng, America Serda, and Ethel Garcia all recorded personal best times.
Williams College captured the women's team title, while RPI took home first place in the men's race.
The Bearcats will return to action next Saturday, September 20, when they travel up north again to Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, to compete at the Bard Invitational.
