Senior power forward George Kunkel was named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for November 2009.
During the month of November, George averaged 11.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists to lead the team to a 3-1 record, which included a 68-67 upset victory of pre-season ranked #5 Richard Stockton College.

** Recorded a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds (coming three assists short of a triple-double) to knock off #5 Richard Stockton (11/15).
** Followed that game with another double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds versus Westfield State (11/20). In that game, he surpassed the 1,000 career point total.
** Shot 5-10 from the floor, scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds, with eight assists in a non-conference victory over Maine-Maritime (11/21).
