Men’s basketball junior point guard Lionel Hilaire has been named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for March 2010.
Lionel played a significant factor in leading the men’s basketball team to winning the championship of the ECAC Metro Postseason Tournament. For his efforts, Lionel was named the MVP of this regional championship, which marks the second time in team history that they have won the ECAC.

* Shot 8-of-16 from the floor and a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line, knocking down five shots from beyond three-point range, to score 29 points to upset #1 seed Old Westbury in the semifinal of the ECAC Tournament (3/6).
* Shot 7-of-10 from the floor, scoring 21 points, to lead Baruch to a championship victory over #2 seed York College in the ECAC Tournament Final (3/7).
* Named a CUNYAC First Team All-Star.
* Named a D3Hoops.com Second Team All-Atlantic Region All-Star.
