Women’s swimmer Denisse Duran Llano has been voted the Baruch Athlete of the Month for January 2012.
The honor, which is voted upon by the athletic department staff, is the first for Denisse.

** Member of the winning 200 yard freestyle relay in a CUNYAC road meet at rival Hunter (1/6). She also recorded victories in the 500 & 1,000 yard freestyle events to help the team rout rival Hunter, 60-35.
** Against Lehman (1/9), she easily won the 100 and 1,000 meter freestyle events.
** Named the CUNYAC Rookie Swimmer of the Week on January 9.
** Helped the team defeat John Jay (1/13) to finish CUNYAC regular season schedule undefeated. Against John Jay, she was a member of the winning 200 meter medley relay team.
** Ended the month by helping the team win a dual meet against SUNY-Maritime and St. Joseph’s of Long Island (1/20). Member of 200 meter medley relay team that won by a nine second margin. She was also victorious in the 200 meter freestyle.
