Women's swimmer Julia Sung has been named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for January 2013.
Sung had a dominant January by breaking a number of school records en route to helping the team win their fourth straight CUNYAC Championship.
**January 3 against the College of Staten Island, Julia was on the winning 200 meter medley relay. She broke the 100 breaststroke school record and was finished the meet on the winning 200 free relay.
**January 8 against rival Hunter, she broke the school record in the 100 & 200 meter freestyle events, and led off the 200 meter freestyle relay with a new school record in the 50 meter freestyle.
**January 11 against John Jay, she broke the school record in the 100 yard butterfly and was also on the winning 200 free relay
**January 18 against Lehman, she won the 200 individual medley & the 400 meter freestyle. She ended the meet on the winning 200 medley relay.
**January 22 against Maritime, she broke the 500 yard freestyle record and was on the winning 200 free relay
**January 31 in first day of CUNYAC Finals, she was member of winning 400-yard medley relay that set a new CUNYAC Championship meet record with a time of 4:11.24.
**Named the 2013 CUNYAC Finals Performer of the Meet.
