Men's volleyball player Scott Standring has been named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for March 2013.
Standring had an outstanding March and was twice named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week. He also played a major part in helping the team total a 16-1 record during the month, which was part of a team-record 18-match winning streak.
**Notched 47 assists, three service aces and four digs in a win over York (3/6).
**Tallied month high five service aces in a win over Medgar Evers (3/19).
**Totaled 32 assists and three digs in a home win over Division I Sacred Heart (3/23).
**Notched 45 assists and career-high 23 digs in a five-set win over #13 Elmira (3/24).
**Picked up 46 assists and six digs in a win over Lancaster Bible (3/27).
**Tallied month high 50 assists with 12 digs in a win over #9 Stevenson (3/27).
**Notched 39 assists in a win over rival Hunter College (3/30).
**Out of the 15 matches he played play in the month of March, Scott had two games with 30+ assists, three games with 40+ assists and one game with 50+ assists.
**For the Month, Scott averaged 10.65 assists, 1.84 digs and .54 service aces per set with .290 hitting percentage.
