Julia Sung has been named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for December 2013.
This is the second straight month and fifth time she has earned the honor. (November 2013, January 2013, February 2012, January 2010).

*Named the CUNYAC (weekly), ECAC (weekly) and Baruch (monthly) athlete honor – a clean sweep – during the week ending December 13.
*During a 107-70 home win over CUNYAC's John Jay on Dec. 3, the senior standout set a new school record with a time of 1:10.81 in the 100 Meter Butterfly. She followed that up with another win in the 100 Meter Breaststroke at 1:19.04 before finishing the day with a 1st place finish in the 200 Meter Free Relay with a time of 2:01.78.
*The Flushing native continued her strong swimming at the ECAC Winter Finals on Dec. 6-8. She placed highest in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:53.35, which was good for 7th and to qualify for the ECAC Open. Individually, she qualified for ECACs in the 100 Yard and 200 Yard Breaststroke with times of 1:09.53 and 2:28.89, respectively. The standout was also able to qualify in the 400 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 4:54.11.
*She has never lost an event in CUNYAC during her four years.
