The women’s basketball team recorded their eighth victory before final exams by defeating City College of New York, 93-60, in a CUNY Athletic Conference home game on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.
The Bearcats (8-3, 3-0 CUNYAC) led from start to finish in a game where every player (bench 47 points) saw action in helping the team raise their conference record to a perfect 3-0.
Senior guard Naesha Tyler-Moore (Chicago, III./Rich Central) led Baruch this evening with 17 points, while freshman guard Lorin Clarke (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Ford), a prolific scorer in high school, poured in 16 points in just 15 minutes of action.
Freshman F/C Maria Turner (Bronx, NY/Aquinas) and senior center Dominique McClendon (Chicago, III./Seaside) each scored 10 points. McClendon also added eight rebounds and four steals in 18 minutes on the court.
CCNY, which shot 48 percent (12-25 fg) in the second half, were led in the scoring column by Anika Rivera (Bronx, NY/Scanlon) with 22 points and six steals.
Baruch will now be off for final exams but will resume action later this month with a trip to Puerto Rico to play against a pair of Division II schools from the island.
