CUNYAC STANDINGS

The women's tennis team defeated a pair of conference opponents on Monday afternoon at the York College tennis courts to finish their regular season schedule.

With the two road victories, the Bearcats go to 12-2 overall and 7-1 in the CUNYAC standings. The exact pairings and schedule for the CUNYAC tournament will be announced later this week.

The Bearcats started the day by sweeping all six singles and three doubles encounters to record the morning victory against the New York City College of Tecchnology.

Irina Piskunova was victorious at #2 singles (6-0, 6-0), and teamed up with Mariam Mkrtchyan to also win at #2 doubles (8-0).

Mariya Korobkova and Shalanda Graham team up again in third doubles to win, 8-0, and in the process improve to a perfect 12-0 on the season in doubles.

The Bearcats won the afternoon match (8-1) against Medgar Evers College, dropping only the #1 singles encounter.

Alexandra Vamanu won at #3 singles (6-0, 6-0), and teamed up with Monika Maiellano to win, 8-0, at #1 doubles.
