Women's Tennis Advance to Fourth Straight CUNYAC Final to Battle Hunter

The women's tennis team defeated Brooklyn College, 5-1, to advance to the conference finals on Saturday afternoon at the U.S. National Tennis Center.

For the fourth straight season, the Bearcats will meet their rivals Hunter College in the finals of the women's tennis championship scheduled for 2:00 pm at the U.S. National Tennis Center. The winner will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

If the match is postponed, a decision is expected by Noon on Saturday.

Today's victory also continues to set the team record for most wins in a season (14) and consecutive wins (10).

The match was called once the Bearcats recorded the fifth point of the semifinal match to clinch the outright win.

The highlight of the day featured Shalanda Graham and Mariya Korobkova winning in third doubles (8-1), which helps stretch their perfect record at the position to a perfect 14-0 this season.
