Women's Tennis Defeats John Jay (9-0)

The women's tennis team defeated John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 9-0, in a non-conference road match on Friday afternoon at the tennis courts of York College in Jamaica, New York.

With the victory, the Bearcats improve to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in CUNYAC, while John Jay drop to 0-6 and 0-3 in CUNYAC.

Alexandra Vamanu was victorious at #3 singles defeating Wilesca Belhomme by the scores of 6-0, 6-2. 

Alina Bero won at #4 singles by defeating Yan Zheng, 6-1, 6-0.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday with a 4:00 pm home match against Rutgers-Newark at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

Please note the new start time of 4:00 pm, instead of the previously scheduled 5:00 pm. (Time moved to accomodate more court availability)
