The women’s basketball team defeated the Cardinals of York College, 83-67, in a CUNYAC contest on Monday night in Jamaica, New York.

The visiting Bearcats shot 48 percent (30-63) to also extend their win streak (regular season & tournament) to 24 games against CUNYAC opposition.

Kristin Sells led six players in double-figure scoring this evening with 13 points, while Kalea Davis scored 12 and Christina Kelly had 11 points.

Lorin Clarke, Lauri Coward and Megan Bouwens finished with 10 points each.

Kadisha Wickam led the home team Cardinals with 19 points and six rebounds.

With the victory, the Bearcats raise their record to 11-3 overall and a perfect 4-0 in CUNYAC, while York drops to 6-8 overall and 1-3 in CUNYAC.

The women’s basketball team will return home on Wednesday, January 13, with a 5:30 pm CUNYAC home contest against CCNY.
