The women's tennis team won a pair of CUNYAC matches played on Columbus Day, Monday, October 11, at the York College Tennis Courts in Jamaica, New York.

The Bearcats posted victories over Medgar Evers (9-0) and City Tech (8-1) to improve their record to 4-8 overall and 4-4 in the CUNYAC standings. In addition, they ended a three-match losing streak.

The women's tennis team will return to action on Wednesday, October 13, with a match to be finished against Brooklyn College.

Brooklyn was leading the conference match last Wednesday, October 6, by the score of 3-2, but it was halted by rain. The two teams will pick off where they left off with first serve scheduled for 5:00 pm at the Brooklyn College Tennis Courts.
