The Bearcats won their sixth consecutive game by defeating the Ospreys of Richard Stockton College, 67-58, on Monday night in the ARC Arena.

With the victory, the Bearcats improve to 19-4 overall, while the visiting Ospreys saw their four-game winning streak come to an end to drop to 11-10.

The first half was tightly contested with nine lead changes and four ties, but the Bearcats scored the final four points to take a 33-29 halftime lead.

During the second half, the Bearcats led throughout and built a 53-45 advantage with 7:56 remaining, but Richard Stockton would rally back to get as close as 57-55 on a three-pointer by Aliyah Nelson with 4:13 left on the clock.

The Bearcats responded by scoring the next six points and would finish with a 10-3 overall run in the final four minutes to clinch the non-conference home victory.

Richard Stockton had a 49-44 rebounding advantage, but struggled with 21 turnovers that the Bearcats turned into 20 points. 

Megan Bouwens led again with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Kalea Davis recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Monique Salmon and Lorin Clarke finished with 11 points each.

LaTonya Oliver led Richard Stockton with 18 points (9-12 fg) and nine rebounds. Aliyah Nelson and Julie Fagan had 12 points each in the loss.

The women's basketball team will return to action at the Battle of Lexington on Thursday night with a 5:30 pm home contest against the New York City College of Technology.
