The #9-ranked men’s volleyball team swept the Cougars of Medgar Evers College in a CUNYAC match on Thursday night in Brooklyn, New York.

The visiting Bearcats (12-9, 5-0 CUNYAC) posted scores of 25-5, 25-10, 25-4 to stretch their win streak to nine matches.

Jesus Echevarria led the way this evening with nine kills (.667) and 22 assists, while Vincent Cruz totaled five kills (.833).

Pablo Oliveira, the CUNYAC and NECVA Player of the Week, totaled five kills (.833) and a career-high 13 aces in the sweep.

Jeff Campbell led Medgar Evers (0-8, 0-5 CUNYAC) with three kills.

The men’s volleyball team will continue their CUNYAC schedule on Saturday, February 19th, at the CUNYAC Multi-Match hosted by Hunter College. The visiting Bearcats will play City Tech (9:00 am) and CCNY (11:00 am).
