The #7-ranked men’s volleyball team won their two conference matches on Saturday afternoon at the CUNYAC Multi-Match hosted by CCNY.

The Bearcats swept Lehman (25-19, 25-22, 27-25) and Medgar Evers (25-6, 25-8, 25-11) to clinch first place in the CUNYAC regular season standings with a perfect 13-0 conference record and 24-10 mark overall. They also stretch their CUNYAC win streak to 41 straight matches.

Against Lehman, Jesus Echevarria dished out with 32 assists, five kills and five digs.

Pablo Oliveira, named the CUNYAC, NECVA and AVCA Player of the Week on March 2, led the attack with 12 kills and six total digs on the defensive end. Ray Satagaj (8 kills) and Kirill Yagnetinskiy (7 kills, .636) also contributed to the victory.

Against Medgar Evers, Takeshi Kawahigashi dished out 17 assists on the offensive end, while Jin Feng Wu totaled five digs on the defensive side.

Satagaj led the attack with 10 kills (.692) and Sam Park finished with a solid six kills (.500).

The men’s volleyball team will return to action on Monday, March 7, with a 7:00 pm non-conference contest at #5-ranked NYU at the Coles Sports Center in Greenwich Village. To follow the action via Live Stats, CLICK HERE.
