The men’s volleyball team lost in the third place match of the Molten Final Four to #4-ranked Carthage College on Saturday afternoon at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York.

The #6-ranked Bearcats lost by scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-17 to Carthage of Wisconsin.

Carthage totaled 47 kills with a strong .444 hitting percentage, while the Bearcats totaled 33 kills for a .240 hitting percentage.

Pablo Oliveira, a two-time All-American, ended his outstanding playing career this evening with 14 kills, five digs and three blocks. Vincent Cruz totaled five kills and Jesus Echevarria dished out 27 assists in the tough loss.

Randy Hansen led Carthage with 14 kills (.524) and six digs. The victory marks the second straight year that Carthage finished in third place at the Molten Final Four.

The Baruch Bearcats finish the season with a 34-16 record and accomplish competing in their first-ever Final Four event.
