Brooklyn Bulldogs Defeat Bearcats (6-3), Three Match Winning Streak Ends

The women’s tennis team suffered a 6-3 defeat to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Monday afternoon in Brooklyn, New York.

The match originally started on Thursday, October 4, but due to rain, it was suspended after doubles play. The match resumed today and the Bulldogs recorded the victory.

The Bearcats' three match winning streak comes to an end as they drop to 4-1 in the CUNYAC. The Bulldogs improve to 5-0.

The Bearcats earned their first point at first doubles with
Patricia Gomes Correia and Elizavetta Glotova winning, 8-1. Amanda Naraine was victorious at #4 singles (6-2, 6-4) and Lisa Kurner at #5 singles (6-2, 6-3) to round out the team’s three points.

For complete results, please read below. The women’s tennis team will return to action on Tuesday, October 9, with a CUNYAC road contest against rival Hunter College. First serve at the U.S. National Tennis Center is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
