The women’s tennis team scored a 9-0 victory over the Lehman Lightning in a CUNYAC match played on Tuesday afternoon at the tennis courts on the campus of Lehman College in the Bronx.

The Bearcats, the home team on the scoreboard, swept all three doubles and six singles to begin the CUNYAC portion of their season schedule on a high note.

Amandine Le Goupil-Maier, the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, won her second singles encounter with a score of 6-1, 6-0. Jennafer Mukofsky began her intercollegiate career victorious at third singles by winning, 6-0, 6-0.

Amanda Naraine and Marianna Kogan teamed up at third doubles to post a shutout victory of 8-0.

The women’s tennis team will return to action on Friday, September 14, with a 4:30 pm non-conference road match in Long Island against Farmingdale State from the Skyline Conference.
