The #7-ranked men’s volleyball team swept the #6-ranked Ducks from the Stevens Institute of Technology to advance to their second “Final Four” event in three years.

The Bearcats won with 25-15, 25-20, 25-21 scores to advance to Saturday’s 4:00 pm match against #1-ranked and top seed the Pride of Springfield College.

The NCAA National Championship Tournament is taking place this weekend at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York.

The Bearcats were on fire from the start and jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the opening set. They continued with their solid hitting and blocking frustrating their opponents from Hoboken, New Jersey for the match victory that lasted 70 minutes.

They hit .400 in the third set, which helped prevent the Ducks from mounting a rally.

Jack McKee led the way this afternoon with 10 kills and Steven Coniglio had nine kill hitting .692.

George Chave collected eight digs and Martin Joksimovik had five block solos in perhaps the finest victory in team history.
