Women's Tennis Sweep John Jay (9-0), Improve to 3-1, 2-0 in CUNYAC

The women's tennis team recorded a 9-0 shutout against John Jay College of Criminal Justice on Tuesday night at the Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats won all six singles and three doubles to improve to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in CUNYAC play. The Bloodhounds drop to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in CUNYAC.


Allie Jackson-Hing, the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week for the second time, led the Bearcats with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at first singles and teamed up with Amandine Le Goupil-Maier at first doubles for an 8-1 victory. Le Goupil-Maier also won her second singles flight, 6-1, 6-3.

Jessica Duleba was victorious at fourth singles, 6-4, 6-2, while Elizavetta Glotova and Amanda Naraine combined at third doubles for an 8-1 victory to help wrap up the victory.

The Bearcats will return to action on Thursday, September 19, with a 5:00 pm contest at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.
