Despite Huge Difference in Shots, Bearcats Fall to Brooklyn (3-1)

The men's soccer team lost 3-1 to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn, New York.

The visiting Bearcats controlled most of the midfield play and out-shot the Bulldogs, 20-8, but still fell in the disappointing conference contest to drop their record to 6-5 overall and 4-2 (12 pts) in CUNYAC .

Stanley Goldberg scored his first intercollegiate goal unassisted in the 36th minute to tie the contest, but the Bulldogs would later score goals in the 41st and 54th minutes to record the 3-1 home win.

The Bearcats also attempted more corner kicks (12-3) and forced the Bulldogs' goalkeeper into making nine saves, but could not break through to score more goals.
 
The Bearcats will look to bounce back on Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, with a road contest at NYU. Kickoff at Manhattan College's Gaelic Park in Riverdale, New York is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
