CUNYAC Semifinal: Bearcats Shutout Brooklyn (5-0), Play Hunter in Tuesday's Final

The women's tennis team defeated the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College, 5-0, in the CUNYAC Hospital for Special Surgery Championship Semifinal on Saturday afternoon at the College of Staten Island Tennis Complex.

The Bearcats won all three doubles and recorded wins in the second and third singles to clinch the victory. Per postseason rules, the match was halted upon the first team to win five points.

They advance to play in their first women's tennis championship since 2010 and the 13th overall in their team history. They will play rival Hunter, who defeated Staten Island in the second semifinal, 5-4.

The championship and battle for CUNYAC's automatic berth to the NCAA will take place on Tuesday, October 27, at 3:00 pm, at the Queens College Tennis Courts in Flushing, New York. Tickets are free, but fans must register in advance at Cunyathletics.com/tickets
