Bearcats Claw Past Bloodhounds of John Jay (7-2)

The women's tennis team continued their great to the season with a 7-2 CUNYAC win against the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice on Friday afternoon at Cunningham Park in Queens, New York.

The visiting Bearcats won all three doubles and four of the six singles to improve to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the CUNYAC.

Nicole Serras made her season debut with 6-1, 6-1 win at sixth singles. Daria Vasekina shut out her opponent, 6-0, 6-0, at first singles.

Dzhessika Bishenkevich and Brooke Severance stayed undefeated in doubles with an 8-2 win at the third flight.

The Bearcats will quickly return to action Saturday with a 12:00 pm home match against the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers-Newark. Please note the location of this match will now be at the York College tennis courts.
