Women's Tennis Defeats John Jay, Win CUNYAC Regular Season Championship

The women's tennis team defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 8-1, in a CUNYAC match on Tuesday morning at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

The Bearcats won all three doubles and five of the six singles to wrap up the home conference win.

The team also clinches first place in the CUNYAC regular season standings for the second straight year and fourth time in team history (1992, 1994, 2015).

Allie Jackson-Hing and Isabel Arias stayed undefeated in first doubles with an 8-2 win.

Hayley Bester (6-4, 6-4), Sharada Tangirala (6-1, 6-2), Brooke Severance (6-1, 6-1) and Elizabeth Mak (6-0, 6-0) all rolled to wins in singles on a chilly day in Queens.
