Women's Tennis: Farmingdale State 7, Baruch 2

The women's tennis team lost 7-2 to the Rams of Farmingdale State College in non-conference action on a warm Tuesday afternoon at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats recorded their first point with Maria Scherbakova and Elizabeth Mak winning 8-6 at #3 doubles.

They won their second point at #2 singles behind a solid performance from Sharada Tangirala with scores of 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

The visiting Rams (12-4) won two of the three doubles and five of six singles to walk off with the win.

The Bearcats will next await to discover their CUNYAC Championship Tournament semifinal opponent on Tuesday, October 25, at 3 p.m. at the U.S. National Tennis Center. The team earned a quarterfinal round bye for finishing first in the conference regular season standings.
