Women's Tennis Suffers Tough 5-4 Loss in CUNYAC Semifinal

FULL RESULTS

The women's tennis team lost 5-4 to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC semifinal playoff match on Friday evening at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

The Bearcats trailed 2-1 after doubles play and could only win three of the six singles to fall short in the postseason 5-4 loss.

The result marked the sixth time this season that the Bearcats were on the winning or losing end of a 5-4 score. The team finishes their fall season schedule with a 9-5 record.

Hayley Bester and Sharada Tangirala won convincingly at second doubles, 8-4.

Grace Graham (#2, 6-2 6-1), Tangirala (#4, 6-2, 6-0) and Lejla Redzematovic (#5, 6-1, 6-0) notched the single wins.
