The women's tennis team had a fantastic weekend in CUNYAC play by defeating John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 5-4, on Friday and beating Lehman College by the same score of 5-4 on Saturday afternoon.

With the results, the Bearcats raise their record 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the CUNYAC.

Sharada Tangirala and Lejla Redzematovic each won their two singles and doubles contests this weekend to help put the Bearcats into second place in the CUNYAC standings. Diane Nguyen also won her singles and doubles against John Jay for the crucial 5-4 team win on Friday.

The Bearcats will continue their CUNYAC schedule with a home match on Tuesday, October 3, at 3:30 p.m. against the Cardinals of York College at the Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.
