The women's tennis team recorded an 8-1 non-conference win against the Panthers of SUNY Purchase on Sunday afternoon in the indoors courts at Queens College in Flushing, New York.
The Bearcats won all three doubles and five of the six singles for the home victory.
Keila Pagan and
Alejandra Cardenas won a tough third doubles encounter, 8-6.
Ava Deguzman &
Esther Benjamin (#1, 8-1) as well as
Regina Kelley &
Erica Sheludenko (#2, 8-1) each recorded convincing doubles wins.
The Bearcats took control in singles with their top three all winning and staying undefeated this season.
The team will resume action on Thursday with a 4:00 p.m. CUNYAC home match against John Jay College scheduled for the Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
