The men's volleyball team finished their season with a CUNYAC Championship victory against Hunter College on Friday night.
On Monday, they discovered their NCAA opponent, and they will play Buffalo State on Thursday at NYU.
Today, CUNYAC released the voting results for the 2025 men's volleyball major award winners and All-Stars as voted by the league's head coaches.
Six Bearcats earned honors.
Peter Gavroff was voted as the 2025 CUNYAC Player of the Year. Gavroff led the Bearcats to the CUNYAC regular season championship as well as the Bearcats' fifth straight conference tournament title. Appearing in 25 of Baruch's 28 matches to date, Gavroff has totaled 227 kills on .225 hitting while adding 38 service aces, 267 digs, and 29 blocks.
Ryan Oommen was selected as a First Team All-Star for the second straight season. Oommen had double-digit assists in 24 contests, with 21 of them being more than 20 assists. He also surpassed 2,000 career assists on March 22 at Widener.
Haoxin Hu and Ari Osmanaj were named Second Team All-Stars. Hu had 44 service aces this season, including an NCAA record 28 against Medgar Evers. Ari was a force all season near the net with 60 blocks.
Noah Pak was also voted as a Second Team All-Star. Pak came up big all season and recorded 10 or more kills in 12 matches to date. He helped the Bearcats all season provide a formidable attack.
Jacob Chen, a freshman outside hitter and defensive specialist, was voted to the CUNYAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Jacob had 59 total digs this season.
