The women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to the Farmingdale State Rams on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference match up on Long Island.
The Bearcats got off to a strong start at first doubles, where Aishika Yadav and Maria Calvo Prado teamed up for an impressive 6-2 victory. However, Farmingdale State secured wins at both second and third doubles to claim the doubles point in the seven point format.
In singles action, Yadav continued her strong play at the top spot, cruising to a 6-2, 6-0 win to account for Baruch's lone point of the match. The Rams proved too strong in the remaining contests, taking five of six singles matches to close out the victory.
With the result, Baruch moves forward in its fall schedule and will return to CUNYAC play next week. The Bearcats will travel to face York College on Tuesday, October 7, at 3:00 p.m.
