SUNDAY SUMMARY
The men's volleyball team had a rough Sunday by dropping two competitive matches to MIT (32-30, 25-30, 30-24, 24-20, 16-18) and Emmanuel (19-30, 24-30, 30-22, 22-30) in the second day of the Endicott Invitational in Beverly, Massachusetts.
With today's results, the Bearcats finished the highly respected weekend invitational with a 1-3 record.
Against MIT, Pablo Oliveira helped keep Baruch close with 23 kills, 15 digs and four blocks in a solid individual effort. Danial Levent had 12 kills, 14 digs and six blocks. Radu Wyrwas was the overall leader of the attack with 57 assists, 13 digs, and three blocks and aces each in the very tough loss in five sets.
Against Emmanuel of Boston, the Bearcats were unable to regroup and suffered a four set loss. Oliveira led the way again with 14 kills and eight digs, while Levent had 10 kills, 12 digs and three blocks. Wyrwas dished out 35 assists.

SATURDAY SUMMARY
The men’s volleyball team split their two matches in the opening day of the Endicott Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Beverly, Massachusetts.
The Bearcats started by sweeping the SUNY Institute Technology by the scores of 30-20, 30-15, 30-14. Radu Wyrwas dished out 32 assists, while Gabriel Rivera notched seven kills. Danial Levent had seven blocks to defeat the SUNY school from Utica for the second time this season. Pablo Oliveira (four aces) and Eryk Kowalski (three aces) also helped the attack to lead the team to win #16 on the regular season.
For the second time in 2009, the Bearcats played #5-ranked Rivier College of New Hampshire and lost in four sets (28-30, 30-28, 26-30, 28-30). Oliveira had another big match with 28 kills and nine digs, while Wyrwas helped lead the overall attack with 48 assists. Matt McKee contributed five blocks and Levent had four blocks. Jonathan Tuwaidan finished with 10 assists in the loss.
