The men's volleyball team lost in four sets to the Brewers of Vassar College in a matchup of the Vassar Invitational on Friday afternoon in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Vassar (16-8) won the first two sets with scores of 25-14 and 25-17, but the visiting Bearcats battled back to win the third set, 26-24. The two teams played a competitive fourth set but Vassar pulled away late for the 25-21 fourth set and home victory.

Overall, Vassar totaled 54 kills hitting .302, while the Bearcats totaled 43 kills hitting only .143.

Steven Coniglio led the Baruch attack with 14 kills hitting .427. Jack McKee and Gabe Rivera finished with eight kills each, while Nick Smith dished out 39 assists.

Danny Olson, the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, had a solid match defensively with a team-high 12 digs.

In the second match, the Bearcats were victorious with scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-23. Gabe Rivera and Aviv Elias led the attack with eight kills each. Elias also added seven digs. Nick Smith dished out 31 assists in the first ever contest against Lancaster Bible.
