#8 Men's Volleyball Power Past Brooklyn (25-9, 25-14, 25-18)

The #8-ranked men’s volleyball team swept the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC home match played on Thursday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats won with scores of 25-9, 25-14, 25-18 to improve their season record to 18-4 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the CUNYAC.

The Bearcats controlled the action hitting .569 with 39 total kills, while the visiting Bulldogs (9-9, 5-4 CUNYAC) struggled hitting .032 with 18 kills.


Gabe Rivera tallied a season-high 11 kills hitting .786 to go along with five digs.

Brady Ambro notched six kills hitting .556, while Jack McKee finished with five kills to help the team record their 10th win in their last 11 matches.

Scott Standring was busy again with 24 assists and Brian Monaghan contributed three aces in the home win.

David Dimitruk led the Bulldogs with six kills and one block solo.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday night, March 23, with a 6:00 pm home contest in the ARC arena against the Division I program from Sacred Heart University.
