Men's Volleyball Finishes 3-1 in Carthage Invitational, Improve to 9-0 on Neutral Courts

FULL INVITATIONAL RESULTS

The No. 14-ranked men's volleyball finished up their Wisconsin trip on a positive note with victories today over No. 7 Nazareth and Thiel at the Carthage Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The Bearcats posted a 3-1 record this weekend to increase their season win total to 18, while also improving to 9-0 in matches played on a neutral court.

The team started against Nazareth and defeated them for the second time this season with scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Jack McKee led the attack again with 17 kills and Aviv Elias notched a career-high 16 kills and 10 digs to propel the team to the nationally-ranked victory.

Chris Kaimis had another solid effort with 13 kills and 10 digs. Scott Standring captained the offense with 49 assists and a match-high 15 digs.

The Bearcats finished with 60 total kills en route to win.

In the afternoon match, the Bearcats swept Thiel College from Greenville, Pennslyvania with scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-22.

McKee recorded his 22nd double-digit match in kills with 15 hitting .300.

Kaimis and Steven Coniglio finished with seven kills each. Standring had 29 assists.

The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, March 18, with a 7:00 pm CUNYAC contest at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York.
