The men's basketball team defeated the Cougars of Medgar Evers College, 82-55, in a CUNYAC contest on Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn, New York.

The visiting Bearcats (7-3, 4-0 CUNYAC) jumped out to a 20-2 lead en route to staying undefeated in the CUNYAC schedule. They shot 56 percent (15-for-27) in the second half with five different players scoring at least nine points in the scoring column.

Chimaechi Ekekeugbor led all scorers by tying his career 18 points and three steals. Granville Gittens (10 rebounds) and Raymond De La Cruz finished with 13 points each.

Bryler Paige had 11 points and Edward Roscigno finished with nine points and 11 assists for the comfortable win.

Reynaldo Eloy led the Cougars with 16 points, three assists and two steals.

The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, January 6, with a 7:30 pm CUNYAC home contest against the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
